Drex Alder never intended to be a Triad Warrior or to carry a sword that drank the blood of his enemies, but sometimes you don't get to choose if you get power only how you will lose it. When his wife becomes deathly sick with a blood fever he must decide if he will use his power to uphold the balance of life and death and protect that sacred lifespark--the essential substance of souls--or use his power to put a damn in the coursing river of death and bring her back from the brink.
The Crimson Blades
What does it mean to be a hero? Maldus Torne had always thought he knew and fell woefully short. The sight of blood calls him back to that terrible day when his mother was murdered and he woke to a pool of her blood under his feet and renders him utterly useless. But his father says it is his responsibility to restore his family's honor and how can he let a man like Ardus the priestslayer down? He has but one choice, to take his trials and become one of the Crimson Blades or die trying.

Armed only with his trusty sword Mick Jagger he attempts to track down The Master, villain of very specific badness who is making women disappear.
Malderon Brightflame
Malderon Brightflame doesn't want to be half-demon. He wants to be one of the heroic knights in burnished plate with a gleaming sword that strikes down the wicked. He's always been able to hide his demonness but when a Wizard opens one of the demon seeds he is forced to face who he is and embrace himself and his power or die in the attempt.
